Submissions

Dragon Crown Books works with and publishes books by select authors but does not accept submissions via this website. For authors with whom we choose to work, we tailor publishing packages to meet your needs. The information below delineates the services we provide to our authors.

He has edited numerous books in genres ranging from fantasy and horror to historical memoirs, as well as having collaborated on biographies. Publishing

The publisher utilizes KDP print-on-demand publishing to produce the books bearing the Dragon Crown imprint and has a decade of experience in doing so. We do not currently work with IngramSpark, Lulu, or other formats. The reason is simple: Amazon dominates the vast majority of the market, and we seek to give our books the best possible exposure and widest distribution without the duplication of effort required to publish on multiple platforms.

Design

The publisher has created interior and cover designs for the majority of products on Dragon Crown Books using Microsoft Word, Photoshop Elements, PicMonkey, and other tools. Prior to founding Dragon Crown, his work as a newspaper editor involved designing pages, including front pages, for six publications in California over a 30-year period. As with editing services, cover and interior design services may be included as part of a publishing package, at the author’s request.

Why publish with us?

  • Experience — I’ve been writing and publishing books for a decade and editing copy for three times that long.

  • Support — As authors ourselves, we believe in supporting other authors. We know what it’s like to be in your position, and we work with you to achieve the best possible outcome. Because we only work with a select few authors, we can provide personal, responsive service to our clients.

  • Efficiency — By using print-on-demand, we can get your book into print and out to the public much faster than at a larger publishing house. If you’ve ever had to wait a year or two before seeing your book in print, that’s not a worry here.

  • Responsiveness — Print-on-demand also enables us to make changes immediately if you (or a reader) find a problem. You won’t be stuck with 1,000 copies that include an error, because we can fix it on the fly.

  • Pricing and royalties — We offer more-than-competitive publishing packages and royalty agreements tailored individually to your needs.

  • Honesty — If we don’t provide a service you need, we’ll tell you and, if we can, suggest an alternative that will work for you.
